About Us

The journey of one thousand miles begins with one step . . . and so did ours, sort of. It is hard to pinpoint when it started . . . probably around the mid-2000’s. We purchased a little SeaRay Runabout from a person starting their sailing journey. Fast-forward to 2022, work is done, boat market is tight, and options to purchase became extremely limited.  The options to buy expensive vessels that would have been considered project boats one year ago were available but when it was all said and done none of them seemed like the right option for us. So . . . let’s build a boat – way more money than we had to spend, but we aren’t getting any younger.

Tom – Left the Information Technology industry and the wonderful world of regular paychecks in 2021. Now pursuing all things sailing including amp to watt conversions, obscure nautical terminology, diesel engine noise identification, innovative screw and bolt retrieval methods, and other fun marine games.

​

Stephanie – Left the healthcare industry and steady paychecks for some limited consulting work in December of 2021. Now pursuing all things aquatic including 101 ways to blend an ice-cold drink, playing ‘lose-n-find’ with underwater cameras, ingenious healthcare treatments with ice packs and fishing line, and other questionable ideas.
